First look at Segway's robot butler of the future — CES 2016
2016-01-06
hey everybody welcome to CES 2016 we are
here at Intel's booth and we are
standing next to the Segway advanced
personal robot we saw this thing on
stage at Intel's keynote last night it's
based on the ninebot mini Pro which is a
Segway without the handles and what they
did is they stuck a robot inside it now
it's at Intel's booth because it has
intel realsense technology up here in
the robot head which allows it to look
around the room and see everything in
real-time map out the room move around
it's also modular so these arms that are
on it can actually come off and they
could they say that they can put some
other stuff on in the demo that we saw
last time in the keynote have paddled
around a room and it went and answered
the door but right here right now it's
just sitting on a pedestal they're not
moving it around we hope to see more of
this little guys to Segway says that
they actually do plan on releasing it
and there should be a developer version
of it in the second half of 2016 so now
the CES show floor is open we're gonna
be running around looking at all kinds
of crazy stuff like this so be sure to
hit that subscribe button I'll talk to
you soon
