hi this is Nathan Ingram of The Verge
we're here at LG's booth at CES checking
out its first webOS TVs and its new
magic remote choose remote you can see
it's a lot smaller than your average TV
remote there's no numbers it's a
Bluetooth remote and basically the main
interface is control through pointing
and clicking so this is as if you're
watching your live TV from your cable
box you can hit the home button it
brings up the present screen these are
your favorite apps that you use
including services you've downloaded
like Netflix and Hulu as well as
anything hooked up to your TV like a
cable box or ps3 and from here you can
switch into anything you want so I'm
going to launch the Netflix now up comes
in that flicks interface just like it is
on any other device running Netflix and
from here I can bring home backup again
obviously we're the Wi-Fi here's a
little tough so it's the connection
isn't ideal so right back in the menu
here you can go right back to cable if
you want here and if you go over to the
left this is the past this shows any
apps you've been using recently so
here's my cable box again the LG store
if I had one more things they'd all show
up here you can yank the exes those
quickly go back home here and then on
the right side there is a future
interface this shows basically every app
you've downloaded to the TV or any other
sources right so here's a Hulu Vudu have
got Skype Pandora Twitter
and I didn't think you've been you've
downloaded is right here so overall
despite the you know tricky conditions
the interface is pretty fast fluid and
it's a lot more simple than most Smart
TV usually seen so this is LG's new
webOS TV
