this is Adrian Jefferies from The Verge
and this is vapor Corpse biometric
vaporizer this is obviously a super raw
prototype the idea here is the
fingerprint unlock scanner so if you
have children in your home or if your
vaporizer gets stolen it can't be used
unless it's you you can add user as soon
as you get the vaporizer you can see
here startup add delete that's how you
will eventually add users although this
chipboard obviously won't be attached
and then you can have more than one user
authorized to use the vaporizer you
might wonder why somebody would want a
fingerprint unlock scanner on their
vaporizer vapor Corp says it's good if
you've got kids in the home and you
don't want them to use your vaporizer if
it's got nicotine in it another reason
is because eventually vapor Corp wants
to build smart features into the
vaporizer so it'll have some metrics
about how often you're vaping and what
levels of nicotine you're using if for
example you're trying to quit smoking
so vapor Corp is hoping to have these
out in the second half of 2014 in time
for the holidays and they're expected to
retail at $1.99 to $2.99 eventually the
prototype will look more like one of
their other vaporizers something more
like this just with the fingerprint
scanner right here
