hi this is Nathan with the verge and
we're taking a look at LG G flex its
first-ever curved smartphone as you can
see it's a very large phone 6 inch
screen it's got a pretty pronounced
curve not unlike Samsung's Galaxy Nexus
although it's quite a bit more severe
because the screen actually can curve
rather than just the glass other than
that it's a pretty standard looking
smartphone with a clean front on the
back it's got LG's new back power button
and volume buttons here when you turn it
on you can see the screen here it's a
720p screen and it's got a feature where
if you turn to the side and tear apart
here it opens up into a sort of gallery
view you can access your photos videos
youtube etc etc and another interesting
quirk for the this model it's only for
the korean market and as such it has a
built in TV antenna i'm feeling if this
comes to us you probably won't see it
here but it's kind of a fun feature for
those using it overseas so here LG's
shown showing us some of the components
of the phone including the flexible
screen you can see here it can bend
pretty significantly obviously it's not
going to bend this much inside the phone
itself but it gives you an idea of what
the screen itself is capable of and
here's one of LG's at curved batteries
it's got a curve that matches the body
of the phone in addition to being curved
it actually does flex a little bit it
sort of flattens out here and l's you
don't have any word on when it's going
to come to the US but they say they hope
it'll be here soon
