this is Thomas record with the verge and
this is the mini boombox from Logitech a
Bluetooth speaker the company boldly
claims would provide an immersive sound
experience the mini boombox features two
drivers a mini USB jack for charging its
10-hour battery a 3.5 milimeter aux
input and a capacitive touch panel that
can be slow to activate and cumbersome
to use compared to physical buttons and
dials the mini USB cutout is an absolute
mess and overall it feels lightweight
and plasticky the sound to match the
speaker is certainly loud enough but the
mini boombox is quickly overwhelmed both
physically and acoustically and setting
the volume above 50% the base is like
luster for the price the highs are
shrill and the rest is a muddled mess in
the middle without a hint of nuance or
stereo separation at $99 the mini
boombox is half the list price of the
Jawbone Jambox another battery-powered
small bluetooth speaker that boasts
better design better sound a true
immersive experience
