hi I'm Greg Sullivan a senior product manager for Microsoft in the Windows Phone division it is coming to existing devices through the windows phone 7.8 update I've got it running on a Lumia 900 here great nokia phone and as you can see we're using the whole screen for our live tiles and I've got all the great dynamic live tiles that you've known love and Windows Phone but I've got these new sizes and in fact I can as an end user I can go through and switch the size of any individual tile that I've got on my Start screen right there and I can still move them around and change them and they're there live and updated in real time as you see but I have the ability to manage them so that i can i can create rows and columns and have lots and lots of little tiles or a few big tiles that will show more information at one time so really taking the same concept that we had with live tiles and the start screen in Windows Phone and extending it all the way to the edge of the screen and giving the user more control also giving more colors and themes that we'll talk about as we get closer to launch but this is a quick look at the new windows phone 8 Start screen that will be coming to existing windows phone 7.5 devices
