this is Johanna for The Verge and I am here with Ravi from Barnes & Noble and he's going to get it give us a quick look here at the Nook Tablet a little bit of the UI and sort of the speed enhancements so we're in a magazine now the National Geographic magazine so see how beautiful the page turns are and how smooth it is zoom she hosts my business can we see a video real quick sure landscape more who will I'm just trying to show now sort of the viewing angles on the screen are really good really bright that's the thing of the lamination no air gap where you can mute it and from especially good when you're trying to read for your kids or you know watching a movie with someone so so how do you get back to the home screen you press it in note button yep that's enough home screen and so have you guys done anything different here with the home screen a few different teams now or you have all these little widgets here main ones like you can go to books or newsstand what what are you reading in the school's new content and then is this like if you go here will you you customize these pages yeah you can customize you can go and/or drag and drop anything right there very cool so just saw the Netflix app do you mind opening that real quick just see it real yeah you just you were seeing the five story you want me to open them again yeah so this is what I was watching last and another Wi-Fi so my Wi-Fi is so this is just standard glass 33 this is screaming at HD 720p HD nice looks good even up over the Wi-Fi here yeah I mean look at this right i mean that's the power of the the lamination and yeah trying to show some of the viewing angles on the camera very cool and then you mind just jumping back again to the apps trying to give them a little bit of a tour here short timing and this is this is another video so this is the native player yeah and so is this 1080p I know you guys were about in 1080p playback in this particular video I can show you 1080p yeah that would be great yeah so it's really nice well I think that's a husband up there thing this is probably a 1080p nice is a hollow there's a clip yes very cool and just like jump back to the main home screen again and just sort of navigate there and if you wouldn't mind also opening the browser so this is a new shop right and has all the departments again with one click I browse for books magazines are all your bestsellers since you're on a store you have read and store more in store and I can get all the kids content with one flick and then you can choose interactive kids books wait to meet bestsellers very cool well is it all the some of the new UI enhancements it kind of made it looks pretty snappy and so the apps the apps are in the other area yeah little naps so you know merchandising in this coder you absol are more easier and faster and even though the Wi-Fi is slow right sale quickly Lords right so you got Angry Birds there yep nice and so lastly can we just see the browser we're working in little more two favorites like very verge the verge calm the words the birds there you go that's me do that well thank you very much for the demo yep you're welcome thank you
