this is russell brandom from the verge
and this is rocky so this is the rocky
it's a new way of sort of coordinating
speakers the idea is instead of having
bluetooth speakers you'll run everything
off Wi-Fi so anything that has a line in
works with it you just you know this is
just a line in going out of here out of
the speaker into the rocky an iraqi
connects to Wi-Fi to the phone which is
these are local files you can use
streaming but then it goes through the
rocky app and then connects to this via
Wi-Fi yeah the good thing about that is
you can have multiple units you can you
know you could run four or five speakers
all from different manufacturers on on
this as long as you're running them
through the rocky units you can have any
different you know you can coordinate
them in various ways yeah um so the
thing they just launched is this up this
is just what's inside the rocky but they
made it available for manufacturers here
for CES so that hopefully soon we'll see
a line of speakers with rocky installed
directly into it so you can connect it
with the app without this sort of new
$49 unit but otherwise yeah they'd a
very successful Kickstarter than
finished in January and the new devices
we're finding out are going to ship any
day now
you
