URB-E Sport is a cheaper, lighter electric vehicle

hey it's been popped with the verge here
at CES 2017 I'm at Caesar's Palace
trying out the new sport version of the
Irby all-electric vehicle so what's the
big difference this year
well this Irby is 40% cheaper at $899
and it's 20% lighter the whole thing is
made in California even the parts are
built they're not just assembled and
Irby is really pushing the idea that
this is for a new kind of consumer one
who doesn't have a car and who cares as
much about powering up their devices
that they do about getting to work you
can now take the battery out and use it
to charge up your phone your laptop got
USB n USB C to charge up a MacBook five
times or your iPhone 40 times it's got a
brand new suspension system different
tires and Irby thinks that they're going
to be able to move tens of thousands of
units at this price point and wait now
for me the first Irby was great but it
felt a little squirrely this model is
much more stable and it's much easier to
pick up I think that what they have
which is different from other companies
is something that feels as powerful as a
bike and as adaptable as a scooter I do
have about four days at CES look forward
to so might as well try and make it
bearable
now this is the new Irby sport it's 40%
cheaper 20% lighter definitely a lot
easier to ride and to carry the urban
electric scooter is still kind of a new
thing but if you were into previous
versions of the Irby if you've been
looking for a good alternative to a
bicycle this is definitely something you
should check out
