hey it's sam shepard with the verge and
we're going to take a look at vine so
vine is an app that Twitter acquired
last year and they brought it in house
and released it as a way to share videos
on Twitter so let's take a look so as
you can see this is the vine feed when
you first jump in the app here these are
editors picks so these are probably you
know the most popular ones right now
you've got four tabs here you can go to
explore search through hashtags and you
know recommends you some stuff to look
at here your activity so if people like
comment or follow you it'll show up here
and your profile page so it will show
your posts down here and you can jump
into settings you know your typical
settings you could share with Twitter
obviously in facebook as well so that's
pretty much the whole interface and a
vine is six seconds long and you can
pause them and they make noise too when
you scroll past them okay so let's jump
into making a vine it's a super simple
interface you just press and hold to
film vines can be up to six seconds long
and you can cut however much you want so
as you can see we created our six-second
vine here we filled up the entire space
and if you don't like what you did you
can click the X button let's go next and
we'll share it so you can add a caption
you could share a location share on vine
twitter and facebook let's do all three
and it's up
you
