um huh what's up guys Lew here back with another video and today I've got something that I'm excited for this is called the boomstick and what it does is it takes any old set of headphones and apparently enhances the audio performance in a number of different ways it's kind of like an external audio amplifier if you will but it's also doing some pretty smart stuff got some algorithms built in to search through a song in real time as it's happening and make some adjustments in order to supposedly enhance your experience I of course I'm going to test that theory plug these guys in to a pair of ear pods as well as a pair of more elaborate over ear style headphones and see if I can hear the difference let's do it rechargeable battery portable lightweight 12 hours on a single charge booyah alright I feel like I've grasped the concept here that's pretty slick when people are considering the quality of audio a lot of that actually just has to do with volume and in many cases on your headphone jack you're just not getting a ton of volume when I'm on the airplane and you've got the sound of the airplane itself the chatter the baby crying over there a lot of your issues when you're considering whether or not you're getting a quality listening experience just has to do with volume so amplification plays a big role in fact if you show most people two audio sources one is louder than the other it tends to color their perspective many times people will just pick the louder source because they think louder is better so there's the device itself microUSB on one side little power switch on the other headphone jack up here on the top a touch button your mini Jack connector on the other side cool a little carrying case this is one that I'm pretty confident I have figured out here I got it first thing I want to do here is I want to use some standard ear everybody has them you're in high school in the cafeteria you can't get away from these things first step is to listen without the boom stick mm-hmm but let's do the boom stick whoa way more volume like substantially maybe twice as much volume I listen to a lot of podcasts maybe I should take these out I'm yelling and many times from better for worse a lot of podcasting come out quiet this just solved that problem for me right I want to take a bigger set of headphones here do a quick test without the boom stick and then with way more low-end just by default way bigger driver look at that guy what about when we boomstick it oh okay that's blasting that's more volume than I would ever normally use right there the tested music but what about dialogue let's check it oh that sounded incredible let me just oh my goodness okay this might even be more substantial of an improvement compared to the music yeah so I think this device pays even more dividends for dialogue the boomstick enhance your headphones with a tiny little device like this any opportunity to offload the amplification from your little mobile device to something more substantial is going to have an impact whether it's for music or for dialogue movies or podcasting I can confidently say that this guy right here will help you with that so check them out boomstick Jack look at that look how cute is that I don't use that word cute often but when I do it's very important that's cute
