Bose Soundlink Mini - Denon Envaya Mini - JBL Charge 2 (binaural sound comparison)
2015-03-06
hi and thanks for joining as you can see
I have three of them maybe Most Wanted
portable speakers in front of me the
Bose Soundlink mini that then I'll
environment and JBL charge tool and I
would like to make a final comparison
between all of them I'm always getting
comments like which one has small bass
but I think not the quantity of the
basis important but rather the quality
therefore this comparison I will be
wearing a binaural microphones these are
new ones and I think a much closer to
the original sound than the previous
ones to get a very neutral
representation I will be recording the
speakers in the center of my living room
the distance is about one metre and a
half all of them will be playing at
about two-thirds of the volume to give
you a better idea how loud this is I set
up a sound pressure level meter with C
waiting you see we are about 75 up to 80
decibels this is quite a comfortable
listening volume I chose quite bass
heavy recordings to see how they perform
with this kind of music and at the end I
will also play all of them at their
maximum volume so that you can see which
one is loudest and and so on now please
put up your headphones if you use kind
of studio quality ones you should get a
very realistic impression of what I was
hearing I will start playing with the
Bose Soundlink mini and then switch over
to the denim and third the JBL charge -
unfortunately I cannot do any live
switching between three speakers at the
same time so I recorded them one after
the other and did the switching in
post-processing oh yeah please enjoy and
have fun
now let's turn off because of the
maximum at the same time I will reduce
the gain of my recorder in order to
avoid any Distortion
you
